SUMMARY:2021 Gate & Garden Tour
DESCRIPTION:Supporting educational school gardens\, local scholarships and community projects\nThe 2021 tour will mark the 16th Gate & Garden Tour. \nThe Tour will start with registration in the beautiful gardens of the Laguna Beach County Water District\, our new host venue and sponsor.  The buildings “Mediterranean Revival” style was designed by architect\, Aubrey St. Clair\, the son of the first artist to make his home in Laguna Beach Art Colony; and was originally built in 1927. \nIn the reception area we will enjoy a luscious selection of homemade desserts\, coffee and botanical waters.  In addition\, our famous artisanal margaritas and wonderful food will be available for purchase. \nTransportation to the private gardens in Laguna Beach will be provided by air-conditioned shuttle buses.  The tour is complete with docents who will point out noteworthy sites of Laguna Beach along the way to the first garden.\nThe self-guided walking tour follows a mapped route where visitors can explore gardens opened exclusively for our ticket holders. \nDue to the COVID-19 pandemic\, measures will be in place to provide for social distancing and hand washing/sanitizing.  Face masks will be required in all areas. \nA portion of the proceeds from the Tour provide financial support for our Club’s many environmental\, educational and civic beautification projects as well as scholarships for local high school and community college students with interest in horticulture. \n \nParking Information \n  \nlearn more    tickets \n  \n\nQuestions?\nIf you have any questions\, please contact our Gate & Garden Tour Director\, Susan Denton\, by submitting the form below. \n* = Required information \n\n\n                \n                        URLThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Name*\n                            \n                            \n                                                    \n                                                    First\n                                                \n                            \n                            \n                                                    \n                                                    Last\n                                                \n                            \n                        Email*\n                            \n                        PhoneMessage*CAPTCHA

DESCRIPTION:At our May 14th general meeting\, Topher Delaney will introduce us to Garden Yoga: The Meaning & Metaphor. \nTopher\, a world-renowned landscape architect with both private and public installations across the US and Europe\, hails from the Bay Area. Topher believes integrating horticulture with the cyclical aspects of nature tell a story when creating a garden or installation. Yoga is an ancient Sanskrit word meaning to join\, balance or connect to foster harmony in the body\, mind and environment to achieve liberation from aches and pains.
