Studying the microbiome of bees will help scientists translates into studies that help humans and agriculture. \nDr. Hammer has published in Applied and Environmental Microbiology\, Royal Society Open Science\, Ecological Monographs just to name a few. Dr. Hammer is an integral member of UCI ECCLPs Campus task force\, who’s making waves in the world of ecology and evolutionary biology at UCI. Tobin’s team is on a mission-conducting fieldwork\, surveying wild bees\, and even nurturing their own bee colonies.
