DESCRIPTION:The featured speaker at the October 12\, 2018 monthly meeting is Donald Olson.  He is a passionate gardener and garden lover.  He has written garden guide books for California and Oregon. \nIn his newest presentation\, “Garden Goddesses:  Four California Women and their Legendary Gardens\,” Mr. Olson will take us on an informative and entertaining tour of four spectacular California gardens and introduce us to the remarkable women who created them.  Together\, we’ll celebrate the achievements of great women gardeners. \nCopies of his book\, “The California Garden Tour\,” will be available for sale after his presentation\, and he’ll be happy to sign them. \nGo to the Donald Steven Olson website for more information about Mr. Olson’s activities and publications. \nMembers and those interested in joining the club are welcome to attend our meetings on the second Friday of the month from Sept. – May in Tankersley Hall\, Laguna Presbyterian Church\, 9:30 am.  The entrance to the hall is on Second St. between Forest Ave. and Mermaid St. Each meeting features a popular speaker\, refreshments\, plant sale and an opportunity to meet and greet members and hear club business. \nFor questions or comments\, please contact us: \nQuestions? DESCRIPTION:Come visit our booth at the annual SmartScape Expo water-wise environmental fair at Laguna Beach County Water District on Sat.\, Oct. 13\, 8 am – 2 pm.  Entry is free. \nWe will give away succulent cuttings and have experts on hand to give info and advice on plants and plant care.  We’ll also demonstrate print-making with leaves and provide supplies\, so everyone can go home with a leaf-imprinted card.  Don’t miss our raffle for a beautiful grapevine succulent wreath!  Hope to see you there! \nIf club members would like to volunteer to assist with our display\, please contact us.  Hope to see you there! \nQuestions?
