He began designing gardens all the while he was heavily involved with his passion for training and riding horses. While working as a dressage instructor\, he enhanced his education in landscape design by attending classes locally to better develop his knowledge and understanding of how to incorporate native plants into private gardens. He recently started his company called Nativo Landscape Design. He has since been active in designing native plant landscapes for homes in the La Jolla and South Orange County areas\, including his own small-scale patio gardens that provide sustenance for the local pollinator populations. \nTom’s Personal Philosophy: Whether large or small\, a garden can be a sanctuary for people as well as for local wildlife.
