The Laguna Beach Garden Club was happy to present the Orange Coast College Horticulture Department with a $1,500 grant to provide supplies and tools for their 90 garden plots used in their education programs.
The garden and department serve 200 to 250 students each year with certificate programs and AA degrees in soil science, plant propagation, plant science and plant and tree identification. These programs are designed to assist students in pursuing careers in botanical gardens, and hotel and large estate landscaping. We are honored to support their work as they continue their educational journey.
This grant matches the Laguna Beach Garden Club’s mission to further education for local youth in horticulture, agriculture, and sustainability for the future.
