Trips & Tours
One of the perks of membership is the opportunity to join us on specially-planned Trips & Tours.
All are one-day jaunts in Orange, LA or north San Diego counties, and the destinations are chosen based on member interests. We visit or tour a group and often lunch together as well. Our Trips & Tours get rave reviews, and we always have a great time.

Peterson Home and Gardens, April 2026
While our visit last April was on a gray and chilly morning, this year was a perfect, sunny spring day with Daytrippers enjoying for a second time the unique experience of exploring the home and gardens of Sheila and Jimmy Peterson.
Historic Modjeska House, March 2026
A five-gabled white house, the century-old home of world renowned actress Madame Helena Modjeska is tucked away amidst a live oak grove on the banks of Santiago Creek. Named for the grounds’ resemblance to the Forest of Arden in the Shakespearean play, “As You Like It,” Arden is designated a National Historic Landmark.
The Getty Center, November 2025
On a Wednesday of beautiful fall sunlight, twenty-five Daytrippers made the 90-plus minute drive to the Getty Center. For some of our club members, it was the first time visiting, and for others, it remains a favorite destination.
The Botanical Building, Balboa Park, San Diego October 2025
On a beautiful day in October, we took an easy drive to the Balboa Park in San Diego to explore a little further afield for our first Trips & Tours (T&T) of the garden club year. Our highlight destination was the newly renovated, historic Botanical Building in Balboa Park.
