At our final general meeting for the 2025-2026 season speaker Dennis Desjardin, PhD, American mycologist shared many fascinating facts about mushrooms.
Desjardin is the author of over 150 scientific publications. His research deals with the ecology and biogeology of fungal species associated with tropical and island habitats, bioluminescent fungi, and fungal systematics. He is credited as the discoverer or co-discoverer of over 300 fungal species. Desjardin is the author of ‘California Mushrooms: The Comprehensive Identification Guide‘.
