On Saturday, May 2nd we held our annual Laguna Beach Gate & Garden Tour, our major fundraiser to support educational school gardens, local scholarships community projects, and environmental organizations.
The 2026 walking tour began at the Laguna Beach County Water District. Built in 1927 in a gorgeous “Mediterranean Revival” style, the district office is now the permanent host venue for our tour. Luxury VIP buses transported attendees to start the tour; patrons then strolled through a masterfully curated set of gardens in “Tree Trees” of North Laguna.
Visitors enjoyed touring the gardens of 8 spectacular Laguna Beach gardens with plenty of inspirations for plantings, landscaping, and furnishing your outdoor spaces. Our club volunteers were out in force with multiple docents at each site guiding visitors and answering their questions. Painters from the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association were present at each location creating garden masterpieces.
Back at the Water District, we offered a spectacular fund-raising raffle with many wonderful offerings from local artists and businesses. Visitors enjoyed tacos and artisanal margaritas as well as free home baked goodies from our club members. Participants wearing festive garden party hats were encouraged to enter into our annual hat contest, which has become one of the most popular events in town!
