Cathy Thomas, an award-winning food columnist for over two decades and renowned for her cooking classes, spoke at our September 2015 general meeting. Her humor and enthusiasm entertained us all as she spoke of how her childhood encouraged her love for vegetables, and related just some of the information and recipes in her newest book, “50 Best Plants on the Planet, The Most Nutrient-Dense Fruits and Vegetables, in 150 Delicious Recipes.” We were delighted to have had Cathy as the first speaker of our 2015-2016 season.
