The Laguna Beach Garden Club receives two awards from the Laguna Beach Beautification Council.

Did you know….

The Laguna Beach Beautification Council recognized the Garden Club with two awards for its contribution to beautifying Laguna Beach. The goal of the council is to inspire beauty that benefits the community. Awards go to homeowners, trees, gardens, developments, remodeling projects, artists, and individuals who have consistently played a role in preserving the history and beauty of Laguna.

Club Receives Two Beautification Council Awards, October 2024In conjunction with the Laguna Beach County Water District, we received an award for the Good of the Hive bee mural. Not only was the mural recognized, but our club was also selected as a winner for our organization’s contributions to the community. The award celebration took place on October 24th at Seven 7 Seven where a full table of club members and representatives from the Water District enjoyed a taco buffet and stories about the award winners. In attendance was Jose Gallardo and Juan Benitez of the Water District along with Lynn Jax, Karen Nelson, Jane Leary, Susan Denton, Blair Contratto, John Holcolme, Kari Nies, and Nancy Englund.

Clearly, the council has been paying attention to our work, as several of the homes that received awards have been featured on the Gate & Garden Tour. We also congratulate our own Kathleen Kane who received an award for her beautiful border!
