Join us at our General Meeting on November 13th where preservationists Charles M. Murray and Harry Huggins, will give a talk entitled “Together We Saved Laguna Canyon.”
Charles Michael Murray and Harry Huggins, editors of the documentary 50 Years of Preservation, celebrate the 37th anniversary of the historic march to Save Laguna Canyon, sharing firsthand accounts of the movement and present the book Laguna Beach and the Greenbelt – Celebrating a Treasured American Landscape.
The rally of “Save Laguna Canyon” was the response to the Irvine Company approval to develop Laguna Canyon. Charles and Harry’s efforts were instrumental in drawing an estimated 10,000 protesters in support of preserving Laguna Canyon.
Join us from 9:30-10:00 a.m. for social time and refreshments, the meeting begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. Meetings are held at Laguna Presbyterian Church in Tankersley Hall located at 415 Forest Avenue, Laguna Beach, Ca. Non-members are invited to attend for free on their first visit.
