Susan Denton led a Green Thumb Craft project painting beautiful and whimsical rocks at her home on October 16, 2020. All attendees wore masks and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Susan provided white and gray rocks available from which we could choose as well as print outs of many ideas. Nancy Englund also brought several spooky Halloween print outs. We painted with brushes and used paint pens for the finer details. Some rocks required a base coat of white followed by two coats of the desired color to add intensity to the hue. The creations were finished by spraying them with lacquer to preserve the color. Some of the creations include: plant ID markers, faux cacti, Halloween-themed eyes, cats, ethereal fern-like markings, welcome rocks, lady bugs, flower petals and more. The creativity flowed. We all want to do it again. So much fun. Thank you, Susan for your inspirations and guidance.
