Laguna Beach celebrated Arbor Day on March 7 in Bluebird Park. Our March guest speaker and Laguna Beach’s very own City Arborist, Matthew Barker, represented the city and guided a group of eager children who planted a new tree in the park. LBGC hosted a booth about the club and an art table for children with a rock painting activity. Members Ruben Flores, Karen Nelson, Marianne Keenan, Nancy Englund, Janet Chance, Kari Nies, and Carolyn Bent spent the day enjoying the sunshine and the celebration of nature.
