Welcome, October! Autumn has arrived, and cooler temperatures are finding their way to us every passing day. And yet, Laguna Beach is not as we expect it. Many of us are spending more time in our homes than we would prefer, and we miss seeing many of our friends in-person.
It’s September already, and Laguna Beach Garden Club is ready to start a new year of exciting guest speakers, meetings, and club activities. I am thrilled and humbled to be your president for the next two years. As you know from past newsletters, my focus as president is “Education in the Garden” — supporting and providing gardening education for our members and the community.
Happy Summer, everyone! I send my greetings and best wishes to all of you and hope you are enjoying these warm days and sunny, blue skies. As you know from our June newsletter, “Education in the Garden” is my focus for the club for the next two years. And, “education” and the “garden” are my personal working themes this summer.
Happy summer, everyone! I hope you are staying safe and healthy and doing well during these difficult times. It is my privilege and honor to be your new club president for the next two years. I would like to recognize my predecessor, Nancy Englund, for her tenure of tireless and excellent work as president during which the club grew in the number of its programs, members and community outreach. Thank you, Nancy!
Dear Members of the Garden Club, It has been my immense pleasure to serve as your president. I am delighted that Mariann Keenan is stepping into this role and know she will bring her warmth and dedication to the job.
