2021 Gate & Garden Tour
Supporting educational school gardens, local scholarships and community projects
Laguna Beach is considered to be Orange County’s Crown Jewel. Because the climate in Laguna Beach is considered a Mediterranean climate it is the perfect location for lovely gardens year-round. So, what better place to hold an incredible Garden Tour than in the Crown Jewel that many of us get to call home!
This year’s walking tour will be held on May 1st, from 10 am – 4 pm, starting at the Laguna Beach County Water District. The buildings “Mediterranean Revival” style was designed by architect, Aubrey St. Clair, the son of the first artist to make his home in Laguna Beach Art Colony; and was originally built in 1927. Buses will transport you to the start of the tour where you will visit beautiful gardens in local neighborhoods.
The festive event will offer artisanal margaritas and Mexican fare, free refreshments, plein air painters in several gardens and a raffle of prizes from local artists and businesses.
Our last Gate & Garden Tour, held in May of 2019, netted $25,000 to help support educational school gardens, student scholarships and community projects.
