This month’s adventure began at Moon Valley Nursery in Irvine. If you are looking for trees and huge metalwork statues, this is the place to come! Next, we traveled to Huntington Beach to Village Nursery. We were ably led through the nursery by Mike Bryum. This nursery is well worth the time it takes to drive to Huntington Beach. There is a wonderful selection of drought tolerant and other plants and a helpful staff who all know their plants. After our tour, we were set loose on the nursery with 25% discount tickets clutched in our hands. I’m pretty sure that every single one of us took advantage of that perk! And, we also were given 10% discounts for our return! Several of us then had lunch at a completely forgettable restaurant before heading home with our spoils. – Synthia Scofield
