May 2022 Gate & Garden Tour’s ‘Most Waterwise’ Contest Winner in Local News
On May 14, 2021 (Volume 14, Issue 41) our local StuNews featured an article announcing the “Most Waterwise Garden” of the 2022 Laguna Beach Garden Club’s Gate & Garden Tour which was held on May 7th. The Laguna Beach County Water District (LBCWD) began awarding this honor to one of our featured tour gardens in 2019. This year garden #2 on our tour, named Tutu’s Garden, was awarded the honor. On May 3, 2022 (Volume 14, Issue 35) our local StuNews featured an article detailing our support of scholarships and community projects in the last two years. Despite missing a year of in person-meetings and one year of our Gate and Garden Tour fundraising event we have been working hard to support these programs.

On May 7, 2021 (Volume 13, Issue 37) our local StuNews featured an article detailing the return of the Laguna Beach Garden Club’s Gate & Garden Tour featuring 11 magnificent gardens in the Woods Cove area. “Laguna Beach Garden Club’s first in-person event since the lockdown, felt like a celebration of being sprung as much as of spring itself.” The article includes a beautiful collection of photos taken by local photographer Mary Hurlbut.
Apr. 2021 Gate & Garden Tour’s ‘Most Waterwise’ Contest Winner in Local News
On April 30, 2021 (Volume 13, Issue 35) an article appeared in our local StuNews announcing the Laguna Beach County Water District’s selection of Ellen Edington as the 2021 Winner of the District’s “Most Waterwise Gate & Garden Contest.” This contest recognizes one landscape participant in our annual Gate & Garden Tour.
