The November 22nd, 2024 issue of the Laguna Beach Independent (Volume 21, Issue 47) highlights our grant to the Orange Coast College Horticulture Department. Back in August some of our board members toured the Horticulture Lab at OCC and presented the department with a $1,500 grant to help provide needed tools and supplies. This grant is in line with Laguna Beach Garden Club’s mission to further education for local youth in horticulture, agriculture, and sustainability for the future.

On November 15, 2024 the LA Times Daily Pilot published an article on the Laguna Art Museum’s Art + Nature Fashion Show. This up cycled couture fashion show invited students and faculty from local colleges and universities to design fashion that reflects the mission statements of various LAM community partners as a kick-off for its 12th annual Art + Nature Initiative. Student designer, Erica Patapoff, created a gorgeous gown for the Laguna Beach Garden Club. Several of our members were it attendance. (Photo by James Carbone)
