Gardening 101: Supporting Back Yard Wildlife, April 2026
The final class in our Gardening 101 series on Supporting Back Yard Wildlife was held following our April General Meeting. The Gardening 101 series is led by our own UC Master Gardeners.
President’s Message, April 2026
"Soon after moving to Laguna in 1993, I bought a ticket for the Spring Garden Tour, presented by the Laguna Beach Garden Club. The details are fuzzy, but on a sunny Thursday in May, I was given a map to five or six scattered gardens and set off. At each garden, I and 100 other ticket holders hunted for parking, visited a garden then got back in our cars, drove to the next garden, and hunted for parking again." Historic Modjeska House, March 2026
A five-gabled white house, the century-old home of world renowned actress Madame Helena Modjeska is tucked away amidst a live oak grove on the banks of Santiago Creek. Named for the grounds’ resemblance to the Forest of Arden in the Shakespearean play, “As You Like It,” Arden is designated a National Historic Landmark.

We've been busy bees in the LPC Rose Garden. In March, the rose garden underwent some big renovations.

I would like to celebrate the success of the Valentine’s Extravaganza! As you may know, I’ve had my eye on the ValX as an event with the potential to become a major community affair. This year, I was delighted by our success. By the numbers, we increased profits by 24% over last year.
