Food, Family & Friends, The Holidays Continue!
Dear Members,
Happy December!!! I hope you each had a happy Thanksgiving and that you are starting preparations for whatever holiday you celebrate at this time of year.
Starting with Thanksgiving and through the end of the year, I like to donate regularly to the Laguna Food Pantry. I will be happy to drop any donations members bring to our meeting at the Pantry on my way home following the meeting. The Laguna Food Pantry welcomes your excess fresh produce and always canned goods and boxed foods.
I am so excited for our December meeting and the Holiday Open Garden Happy Hour that follows where we can share some holiday spirit. Please remember that masks are required at all times while inside the homes of Pam Bisson and Sue Field and also while inside Tankersley Hall for our meeting.
Much of my front garden is a shade succulent garden. It is thriving with cooler temperatures and less intense sunlight. I will have many cuttings to share at the plant table come Friday, December !0 when we meet again. I enjoy watering less frequently during this time as well. Of course, the opposite is true for anything growing inside. The air from the heater is warm and dry. That means more water for indoor plants. The Thanksgiving cactus was glorious this year.
Bob and I are traveling to Arizona to spend Christmas with family including 4 of our 6 grandchildren. We are so excited. Meanwhile, Tripp is already an early gift.
May your blessings be many and your troubles few. I send you all my very best regards and wishes,
Mariann
