On November 1st, the Laguna Art Museum kicked off this year’s Art + Nature Celebration with Laguna Art Museum’s Upcycled Couture: Restoring the Future, the 2nd annual runway show combining community, creativity and environmental awareness.
On a Wednesday of beautiful fall sunlight, twenty-five Daytrippers made the 90-plus minute drive to the Getty Center. For some of our club members, it was the first time visiting, and for others, it remains a favorite destination.
On a beautiful day in October, we took an easy drive to the Balboa Park in San Diego to explore a little further afield for our first Trips & Tours (T&T) of the garden club year. Our highlight destination was the newly renovated, historic Botanical Building in Balboa Park.
This year marked the 3rd Annual Hat Contest held in conjunction with our Annual Laguna Beach Garden Club Gate & Garden Tour. We were thrilled have Ally Cook, milliner extraordinaire and owner of Lucky Cowboy Custom Hat Bar (@luckycowboy__), as the Chair of the tour's Hat Contest.
On yet another gray and chilly morning, Daytrippers enjoyed the unique experience of exploring the home and gardens of Sheila and Jimmy Peterson.
The January T&T kick-started 2025 with an enthusiastic and curious crowd of 34 day-trippers touring The Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano.
On Sunday November 3rd, 2024 Susan South, our Director of Ways & Means, once again graciously opened her gorgeous Woods Cove garden to club members.
On a warm and beautiful October day, thirteen club members had an excellent time perusing and shopping five distinctly different nurseries in norther San Diego County.
We opened the garden club year with a local Trip & Tour destination where Garden Club day trippers channeled mountain goats as we toured the terraced grounds and home of Hortense Miller.
